Began her career at Bishop College as Professor of English. Served as Chair of the Humanities Division, Associate Dean and Dean for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Chair of Executive Committee in lieu of a President. Her career culmi-nated in serving as a full-time Professor of English at Paul Quinn College.

Served as DISD Principal of John H. Brown, Wheatley, and Peace Elementary Schools, Zumwalt Middle School and Pearl C. Anderson Career Academy. Taught French at Wiley College Extension (Dallas). Exercised her civic responsibilities as an ardent supporter and leader of Ecumenical relations, civil rights, and the promotion of arts and culture. Served as a founding AAM trustee.

Past Chair, Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce. Led the Excellence in Education Scholarship Program for at-risk seniors in DISD and the Metroplex. Provided summer jobs at All TEMPS I for many graduating seniors. Served as Chair, Jarvis Christian College Million Dollar Baby Campaign. His support of education and community includes a legacy of support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Began his career as a teacher in DISD at J. H. Brown and Pearl C. Anderson. Served as Assistant Principal of Thomas Edison Jr. High, Pearl C. Anderson Middle School, and Lincoln High School; Principal of John N. Bryan Elem. and Pinkston High. Consultant and Director of staff development for four low-achieving DISD schools; Consultant-Instructional Services for Region X, Ed. Service Center. Developed and coordinated TAAS Tutoring Program and TAAS Testing sites.

A career educator with more than forty years of professional contributions to students, teachers, staff and Texas communities. Served as Teacher, Counselor, Administrator in Houston ISD; Principal, Roosevelt H. S. DISD; faculty member at UNT (Denton) and UNT (Dallas), faculty member at TSU (Houston) and Concordia Univ. of Texas, Adm. Consultant, Cedar Hill ISD.

A career educator who began his work in DISD as teacher at W.B. Miller. Served as Assistant Principal at Kimball H.S., Hillcrest H.S. Principal at John Ireland Elem. and Adult Basic Ed. (ESL.). Received Perfect Attendance Award for 32.5 years of service in DISD; Hearing Officer, Administrative Hearing Officer, Administrative Interview Team Member. Volunteer Tutor - Metro. Baptist Church.

Began his career in DISD in 1961. Served as teacher and Administrative Intern. Assigned Principal of Longfellow and Birdie Alexander Elementary Schools. Led the Smith Concertette in giving 15 college scholarships to African American students pursuing careers in Fine Arts. Director of the Center for Young Learners at Paul Quinn College.

Began his career in Dangerfield, TX in 1963. Became DISD Band Director at Sequoyah Jr. High and Rusk Jr. High. Assigned Principal of Charles Rice Elem., A. S. Johnston Elem., Zumwalt Middle School, and B.T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Following his retirement in 1997, he became a Professor, Dean/Chair, Division of Edu., Paul Quinn College. In 2012, he retired as Asst. Vice President-Administration / Student Affairs, and Dean - Division of Education, Wiley College.

Began his career in 1964 as Math Teacher at Harry Stone Elem., Administrative Intern, Assistant Principal, Kimball High School, Principal, Roger Q. Mills Elem and Pearl C. Anderson Learning Center. Expanded students' visions/horizons by enriching their lives with cruises to the Bahamas and trips to Washington D. C. and New York. Founded the "Pearl Guards", a group that transitioned and mentored young Black boys into manhood. Additionally, the mission included closing down liquor stores in close walking distance to all South Dallas Schools.

Began a long career in 1960 as Dean of the Chapel and Chair of the Religion and Philosophy Department at Bishop College. Many outstanding preachers in America studied under him and became leaders of key churches throughout the nation. Four became Presidents of the four National Baptist Conventions in America during their ministry. Recognized by Ebony Magazine as one of the outstanding preachers. In 1979 He assumed the role of Interim CEO and concluded 15 year tenure as President. Retired from the historic Concord Baptist Church in New York after twenty-one years as Pastor.
