DR. DONNIE BREEDLOVE
One of three African American teachers to integrate DISD faculties in 1966, Staff Development Specialist at Paul L. Dunbar Community Learning Center. Appointed first African American female High School Principal in DISD.
DR. ROBERT BROWN, JR.
Teacher of Mathematics, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director-Dunbar Community Learning Center, Director-Southeast Sub-District (K-6, 7-12), Director-District-wide Secondary Schools.
DR. COMER COTTRELL
Entrepreneur and philanthropist, purchased former campus of Bishop College for the relocation of Paul Quinn College from Waco to Dallas.
ELLA LOIS HUDSON
Music Teacher, composed school songs, organized Small Fry Concerts for DISD students, arranged Nathaniel Dett's "Juba Dance", performed by Oberlin College Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
TRAVIS LEWIS
DISD school Librarian, religious, civic ad community leader, philanthropist, established a scholarship foundation for African American college students.
DR. JESSE JAI MCNEIL, JR.
Music Teacher, Principal, Administrator, Supervisor of school principals, college/university faculty member, organized the McNeil Educational Foundation, Program Manager and Lead Professor, 21st Century Leadership Principal Preparation Program.
DR. ALICE RECTOR
Certified School Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Supervisor (DISD), worked with the medical community, local agencies and volunteers to provide comprehensive health services to students and others.
DR. JOSEPH J. RHOADS
Principal of Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas, Sixth President of Bishop College, fostered equality of opportunity for all citizens and equal salaries for Black teachers in Texas.
