Pastor of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church for 41 years. Served on the Tri-Ethnic Committee to pave the way for a non-violent implementation of the 1971 Court Order, Professor at Perkins School of Theology at SMU and served in the Texas Legislature. DISD School named in his honor.
