Began his career in 1964 as Math Teacher at Harry Stone Elem., Administrative Intern, Assistant Principal, Kimball High School, Principal, Roger Q. Mills Elem and Pearl C. Anderson Learning Center. Expanded students' visions/horizons by enriching their lives with cruises to the Bahamas and trips to Washington D. C. and New York. Founded the "Pearl Guards", a group that transitioned and mentored young Black boys into manhood. Additionally, the mission included closing down liquor stores in close walking distance to all South Dallas Schools.
