Began his career in DISD in 1961. Served as teacher and Administrative Intern. Assigned Principal of Longfellow and Birdie Alexander Elementary Schools. Led the Smith Concertette in giving 15 college scholarships to African American students pursuing careers in Fine Arts. Director of the Center for Young Learners at Paul Quinn College.
