Began his career in Dangerfield, TX in 1963. Became DISD Band Director at Sequoyah Jr. High and Rusk Jr. High. Assigned Principal of Charles Rice Elem., A. S. Johnston Elem., Zumwalt Middle School, and B.T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Following his retirement in 1997, he became a Professor, Dean/Chair, Division of Edu., Paul Quinn College. In 2012, he retired as Asst. Vice President-Administration / Student Affairs, and Dean - Division of Education, Wiley College.
